Codes of Conduct – CarShield FC

PARENT AND FAMILY CODE OF CONDUCT

I WILL:
Be encouraging and supportive to the players on the field.
Respect officials and accept their decisions.
Support the coach, manager, other parents, and the team.
Volunteer my services and talents to the team and the Club when possible.
Familiarize myself with the Laws of the Game.
Comply with the rules, policies, and procedures of the team, club, leagues, and MYSA.
Act in the spirit of the game.
Support all players on your child’s team and not criticize ANY player.

NURTURE INDEPENDENCE AND RESPONSIBILITY

Make it your child’s responsibility to pack their own soccer bag, have hair up, no makeup, no jewelry, no chewing gum, the club issued training top worn (no sleeveless tops), shin guards, ball, water, and be punctual (30 minutes before game time).

If it is appropriate, please have your child communicate directly with the coach about issues, concerns, conflicts or simply missing upcoming practices or games.

Players should be reminded to take responsibility for their own performance.
Players should be reminded to not place blame on others.

“Taking responsibility” is a significant part of maturing as a player, and as a person.

The player represents CarShield FC before and after the whistle blows, on or off the field, conduct applies at all times.

Determine and work through any stress that may arise from competitive events.

UPHOLD YOUR COMMITMENTS
Foster an environment focused on development, enjoyment, and good sportsmanship.

Support and maintain CarShield FC philosophy on youth development.

Fulfill your financial commitments.

I WILL NEVER:
Engage in dissent directed at an official.
Engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, manager, player, parent, or supporter.
Interfere with the duties and responsibilities of the coach or manager.
Act in any way that is detrimental to the team or CarShield FC
Criticize the opponents, their parents, coaches, or the officials.
Have the player guest play/dual roster with another club (USYS or US Club Soccer) unless they are affiliated with CarShield FC and club approved.

NO COACHING ALLOWED
No matter how good your intentions, we insist there be no shouting instructions to the players.

Let the coach run the team; attempting to coach or instruct a player from the sideline is distracting and counterproductive for the player.

Your vocal support and positive encouragement are welcome.
